MHAYA
Mental Health Awareness in Young Athletes
Our Objective
At MHAYA, we aspire to make a direct impact on athletes in the age group of 12-18 years old. Coaches, parents, and teams as a whole will also benefit.

Our goal is to educate people on the importance of mental health in athletics, and teach them how to be more aware of it. This includes learning how to look out for signs of poor mental health, how to approach someone who is struggling, and how to help them.
Join us in breaking the silence, and supporting young athletes on their journey to success both on and off the field.

A program like MHAYA is crucial for younger audiences as it can prevent various mental health issues and their potential repercussions. Participants can transform their perspective on their sport, potentially reducing the likelihood of quitting or developing a negative relationship with it. MHAYA also fosters a sense of shared experience, helping individuals understand they are not alone and alleviating feelings of self-blame. Moreover, investing in mental well-being contributes to future success, with approximately 50% of sports performance being attributed to mental factors, showing the significance of mental health in achieving athletic excellence.
Our Mission
Our mission is to raise awareness on the ongoing mental health crisis among young athletes between the elementary to high school level, and proactively address potential psychological issues.
We do this by offering effective resources to promote and improve the mental well-being of our young athletic community.
